My final abroad adventure was to Brussels with Claire, Madeline, and Liana. We left on Wednesday, Dec 5, and got back on Saturday the 8th (exactly 1 week before my flight home to the States!). Brussels was a short (~2 hour) TRAIN ride from London via the Chunnel (rail tunnel beneath the English channel). Our Airbnb was located just a short walk away from the spectacular Grand-Place de Bruxelles, which was extravagantly decorated with a massive Christmas tree and an impressive display of lights.

We spent our days exploring the city’s immense Christmas market/Winter Wonders events which included buying festive hats and going on a Ferris wheel. We restricted our diet almost exclusively to waffles, fries, and chocolate (the 3 main food groups of Brussels cuisine). When the weather wasn’t cooperating we went inside and shopped, watched Pride and Prejudice (the version with Kiera Knightly obviously), and tried to prepare at least a little for our upcoming finals/projects.
